Fresh Waves
I’ve heard a lot of people glad to bid 2012 and even the entire decade good riddance. It’s followed by hopeful optimism for a fresh start. What did you lose in 2011 and what did you gain? My husband, for example, lost regular work as a tile guy, but that freed up his time to make films. I lost a couple of really close friends. But it has freed me up to let go of old habits and make new friends. I got to travel to Alaska with one day’s notice, a reminder that crazygood surprises can come out of the blue. Many doors are closing, others are opening, and then there are those wild card doors that fling us out of the familiar, into the extra-ordinary. 2012 could be like that. Today, it’s rainy and cold where I live. But that feeling of newness is reverberating. May we all be encouraged by these waves of the New Year! More
