Such is the Power of Music that it transcends across countries, cultures, religions and generations bringing people together in fondness. This is the essence of Sarhadein!
A landmark concept driven by none other than Bharat Ratna Lataji which brings together legendary talents across generations. What also makes this project unique are the following first time initiatives: Mehdi Hassan and Lata Mangeshkar in a dream duet, Lata Mangeshkar and Ghulam Ali solos on the same album, Soulful renditions by Usha Mangeshkar and Rekha Bharadwaj, A finalé that brings together all the members of the featured Indian vocal pantheon, on a single track, Lyrics by India’s acclaimed lyricist-poet Javed Akhtar, with the opening poem by Pakistan’s famed poet Farhat Shahzad, One Mehdi Hassan composition and eight tunes by India’s own prodigious genius Mayuresh Pai.
