Creating a website can be a very daunting task for any beginner or newcomer when starting an online business. In fact most people will never take the time to learn how to actually do it. Like most people starting out looking for a business opportunity they turn to the web. It seems we are all intrigued by the web and the clams of incomes that are made. It’s only natural as the web is only in its infancy and it has already taken over most of our daily lives.

Some examples of this would be social networking sites such as facebook and twitter. Facebook has now over 500 million users who have joined and it seems people need to log on everyday to get there daily fix! I’m sure I don’t need to point out to you that this is the information age and we can all take advantage of it. What do you do when you first go online? Most people will go to a search engine like Google. What are they looking for? Information!

One thing I have learned is that making money with an internet based business is a skill. But like any skill it can be learned. The problem is that the web is only a tool that allows us to work from anywhere in the world. But there lies the very problem. This business attracts what I like to call opportunists. These people will skip and jump to one thing to another and never actually complete anything. It is a fact that 97% of people will never make any money online.

Most people will never make any money online because they don’t have the correct mindset. They think that having a product is a business or even having a website is a business. Well they are totally wrong. Having a product and a website is not a business. There are millions of products and millions of websites that don’t make any money. Now please don’t be hard on yourself if this sounds like you. I was there myself a few years ago but I changed the way I operated and saw results.

Let me ask you a question! What do you thing is a business? Well if you said customers you are spot on. Without customers it is a complete waste of time and energy. They are the life and soul of any business. The only way to get customers in any online business is to get traffic. I know we all hear traffic traffic traffic but it’s true. Your business will simply fail without it.

We have all seen the websites with the sports car and someone lying on a beach. Please please stay away from these kind of opportunities. The problem here is they are just selling you a dream. They use great sales copy that connect with people emotionally and make you thing you will make money within hours with a few clicks of your mouse. These are rubbish and are total scams.

It is possible to make money online with a few clicks of a mouse if you put the work in first. You need to learn the basic skills and more importantly the process. I could talk all day about the process to making an income online put that’s a whole other article.
