Anne Hathaway is an American actress, who is famous for her versatility and honest portrayal of characters. After a brief stint in theatre, she started appearing in Hollywood films. Anne made her debut with The Princess Diaries (2001), in which she was lauded for her striking screen presence. Following this, she appeared in films like The Cat Returns (2002), Ella Enchanted (2004), The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004) and Havoc (2005). After establishing herself as a bankable actress, she appeared in the critically acclaimed Brokeback Mountain (2005), alongside Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. Hathaway then starred in the commercially successful films The Devil Wears Prada (2006), Get Smart (2008), Bride Wars (2009) and Interstellar (2014). She has also shared screen space with stalwarts like Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp and many others. In 2010, Anne appeared in the successful films Alice in Wonderland and Love and Other Drugs. She received international recognition for her roles in The Dark Knight Rises (2012) as Catwoman and Les Miserables (2012). Hathaway is one of 23 actors to win an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Critics Choice Award for a single role. Anne has also lent her voice to animated films, including Rio (2011) and Rio 2 (2014), for her character Jewel. Her last box office outing was in the film Don Peyote (2014). Her upcoming movie The Intern is set to release in 2015.
