Manoj Bajpai (born 23 April 1969), also credited as Manoj Bajpayee, is an Indian film actor, known for playing offbeat and unconventional roles. He first shot to fame with his breakthrough role in Ram Gopal Varma’s 1998 film Satya. He also got praise for his role of Sardar Khan in Anurag Kashyap’s film Gangs of Wasseypur. In a short span he won many awards including a few national awards for his performances. Manoj Bajpai was born in a small village of Bihar on border of Nepal called Belwa near town Narkatiaganj in Bettiah West Champaran, Bihar. He completed his basic education from K R (Khrist Raja) High schoolBettiah. He then went to Ramjas College where he studied history for graduation. After being rejected four times at the National School of Drama, he did theatre with Barry John at Barry’s Drama School. He and Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan were classmates at Barry John’s acting school.
