Murli Sharma was born and raised in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He made his debut in the film Shakti (1982) and later appeared in Dil Vil Pyar Vyar (2002), Main Hoon Naa (2004), Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005), Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008), Dabanng (2010) and Singham (2011). He has also starred in several Telugu films like Athidi (2007), Kantri (2008), Mr.Nokayya (2012), Desi Kattey (2014), Chor Bazaari (2015), Lateef (2015). He was last seen in the movie Gour Hari Dastaan - The Freedom File (2015). His upcoming movies are Dussehra and Dilwale which are set to release in 2015.
