Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, popularly known as Sridevi, is a three time Filmfare Award winning actress, who has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. She took to acting at a very young age, starring in the Tamil film Kandan Karunai (1967) as Lord Muruga. Sridevi then went on to appear in popular South Indian films like Nam Naadu (1969), Babu (1970) and Vasantha Maaligai (1972). In 1975, she made her Bollywood debut with the film Julie, at the age of 12.
