Oops a Desi is a film discussing about Indians who are called as Desi in this movie who are living in America. They have gone to USA with the help of an invalid immigration status. Oops a Desi movie starts with one of a busy town of USA, i.e., New York. Pedestrians who are passing thereby saw that there is a man standing at some distance and holding some very alarming sign. That sign is of BOMB. At the next moment, story which happened before this incident is told to the audience. Xavier is the guy who is holding that sign board. Xavier with her partner Dev did jobs which were not legal in their past as they were having invalid immigration status to stay in America. They both are having their very troubled past which is becoming a hurdle in their way to return to India. The story takes an odd turn when one of their roommate AJ is secretly kidnapped and Sonia is only the eye-witness. Now, all of three Xavier, Dev and Sonia had no other option expect taking situation in their own control.
