Beef and Pak Choi

Beef and Pak Choi

Stir fried vegetables with tender strips of steak.


Pak choi (torn into large pieces) 250 gms
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp
Garlic (crushed) 2 cloves
Rump of fillet steak (thin strips) 450 gms
Mangetout (trimmed) 150 gms
Baby corn cobs 150 gms
Spring onions (chopped) 6 sprigs
Red pepper (seeded , thinly sliced) 2 number
Oyster sauce 2 tbsp
Fish sauce 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp



  1. Steam the pak choi leaves over boiling water in a steamer. Remove and keep warm.
  2. In a pre heated wok, heat oil and stir fry garlic and the strips of steak for 1-2 mins until browned all over.
  3. Add the mange tout, baby corn cobs, spring onion, pepper , oyster sauce, fish sauce , sugar and stir fry for further 2-3 mins until just tender but still crisp to bite.
  4. Place the pak choi leaves on the base of the serving dish and place the beef and vegetables in the centre of it.
  5. Serve hot with boiled rice or noodles.
