`Fairly strong in flavour , it is basically rice noodles cooked with prawns, ideal with fish or vegetable dishes.


Rice noodles 225 gms
Vegetable oil 4 tbsp
Onion (sliced) 1 number
Ham slices (shredded) 2 number
Chinese curry powder 2 tbsp
Fish stock 150 ml
Prawns (peeled, deveined) 225 gms
Garlic (crushed) 2 cloves
Spring onion (chopped) 6 sprigs
Light soy sauce 1 tbsp
Hoi- sin sauce 2 tbsp
Chinese rice wine 1 tbsp
Lime juice 2 tsp
Chives (garnish) 1 tsp


  1. Cook rice noodles in boiling water for 2-3 mins. Drain and rinse in cold water.
  2. In a preheated wok , heat oil and stir- fry the onions fr 1 mins. Add curry powder and stir fry for further 30 seconds.
  3. Add the noodles and fish stock into the wok and cook for 2-3 mins. Remove from wok and keep aside.
  4. In a wok , heat the remaining oil and stir – fry the prawns, garlic, spring onions
