Makki ka atta 500 Gms
Salt to taste
Ajwain 5 Gms
Butter 70 Gms


  1. Sieve the makki ka atta and add salt, ajwain, pour water in it and mix gradually.
  2. When fully mixed, knead to make a soft dough.
  3. Cover with a moist cloth and keep aside for a few minutes.
  4. Divide into 8 to 10 portions and cover with the moist cloth for a few minutes.
  5. Flatten each ball between the palm to make it round.
  6. Place roti on a gaddi to stick in the tandoor, else cook it on Tawa
  7. Remove the rotis with skewer and apply white butter on top and serve.
