Check it: this is how Katy do. Katy Perry just released her ‘This Is How We Do’ video today! I so knew this was going to be her next single. I’m pumped. And KP does not disappoint with this official video: instead of going the party route with this club ready song, Katy takes us on a crazy colorful pop culture American history lesson. Now for the highlights. Number 1: An old man stares into a painting and then we enter the frame into Katy’s world! It’s SO Katy. Number 2: We’ve got pop art geometric inspired outfits! Three: Pee Wee Herman looking backup dancers. Four: a regal pearl filled bathtub. Five: Katy’s brave corn rolls hair do. Six: pepperoni pizza leotard. Seven, a Mariah Carey lookalike (don’t think she’s going to be happy about that) Eight: an Aretha Franklin “Respect” shout out! Nine: slow motion champagne. And my personal favorite Ten: an animated twerking ice cream cone. This all seems to be an homage to 60’s pop art and our obsession with plastic things. And don’t be surprised if you Katycats see Momma Kitty performing this tune at this year’s MTV VMAs on August 24th. This is how she do. GOtta love that the “Prism” singles keep coming!
