The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has officially taken over the Internet, and Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are just a couple of the latest stars to get iced in the name a great cause.
So, just in case you haven’t been on the Inter-webs in the last few days – it’s OK no judgment, maybe you were on vacay without wifi (I get it) -- the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is basically raising awareness for the disease with these videos. People either donate $100 or pour ice water all over themselves, then nominate a few friends to do the same. A lot of people have started doing both the challenge AND donating money and it’s spreading like wildfire.
Justin and Selena both did the challenge this weekend as Selena was nominated by both Ryan Seacrest and Taylor Swift, and in turn nominated Cara Delevigne, Suki Waterhouse, and James Franco. Check it out.
As for Justin, he was nominated by Scooter Braun and then urged Ellen DeGeneres, comedian Chris D’elia, and wait for it – President Barack Obama.
We applaud you for thinking big Biebs (I mean, go big or go home right), but we kinda think Obama has a few other things on his plate right now. Pretty interesting Selena and Justin didn’t nominate each other….just saying.
And you guys, these are just a FEW of the celebrities who took on the ALS ice bucket challenge this weekend. Chris Pratt, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Lena Dunham, Jennifer Lopez, and Iggy Azalea are just a few others who did their part to help raise awareness for this good cause. Seriously, I think every celebrity on earth did the challenge this weekend.
