In a recent judgment, the Honbl'e Supreme Court of India directed the central as well as the state government that chargesheeted politicians shouldn't be included in the cabinet. Disposing a PIL against the criminalization of politics, the five-judge Constitution Bench however said that the current law does not have such restrictions which debar tainted MPs & MLAs from becoming a minister.
