This is something a little different from putting the thrill back into an existing relationship. Rekindling the spark that touched off the romance in the first place is going to be a much trickier affair. Sometimes the spark that set you off was a matter of time and circumstance that can’t be recreated. There’s always that couple who’ll never forget the time they met over cappuccino when that hailstorm took out I40. How are you going to recreate that? Where would you get the hail? 

 

So, to make your ex fall in love with you all over again, you have to bring them to mind of what you had together before. Make them feel familiar and comfortable around you. Play it like you’ve been married for years. If you’re good with knowing your ex’s favorite things, play this up. Order your drinks, maybe dinner too, drive to the right place without even being told. The idea is to make your ex think "Why do I want to start all over again with somebody else?" 

 

This is not a job for the under-ambitious. You’re going to be pouring your heart into this. It was important enough to you to get this far, wasn’t it? Then it should be important enough to want to give it your best effort. 

 

A new wardrobe is a must. Nothing says "I’m still the same old loser you dumped." like wearing the same old sweater that says "I get all my clothes at charity stores." Get several snazzy outfits, and line them up so you wear them all in succession. Wearing different clothes also helps your ex see you in a new light, and send the message "I have a new attitude!" in case attitude was the problem. 

 

Attitude isn’t always the problem but it sometimes is. Another thing is bad habits and morals. If you were the one who cheated, now’s the time to polish your halo and be ready to deal with some suspicion. Try to be more open in your habits; make it so you’re easy to check up on, and then be relaxed about it.
