Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. Expecting!

In case you didn’t already know, after six full years of marriage, the celebrity couple of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. are expecting their first child together. Sarah may not be fighting off vampires anymore like she did in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but she certainly will still be witness to some midnight feedings once the little one arrives this fall. The couple, whom both shot to fame in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s have been relatively quiet the second half of this decade.

The couple met back in 1997 and was married in 2002. All in, the Hollywood starlets have been together for 12 years, which is something of a rarity these days in tinsel town. Sarah has publicly claimed that Freddie is not only her true love, but also her first love.

Sarah, who is currently 32 years old, was recently seen out shopping with her mother at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, complete with a rounded baby bump. Earlier this month, a baby shower was thrown for Sarah by make-up artist Napoleon Perdis. The event took place at The Rise in Hollywood and included quite a few famous faces, including Michelle Trachtenberg, one of her co-stars in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Shannon Doherty of 90210 fame.

Freddie will be joining the cast of the eighth season of "24" when it begins in January of 2010.
