Mr. Erik Feig has been the President of Production at Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., since February 9, 2012. Mr. Feig serves as the President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions at Summit Entertainment, LLC. He oversees all of Summit’s in-house productions, co-productions and acquisitions, as well as involvement with films of its client companies. He is responsible for creating, finding, and managing an annual production slate of 8-10 films and an acquisition slate of 2-3 films per year. He began his career by producing the teen hits I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER and I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER for Columbia Pictures and the teen comedy SLACKERS for Sony. During the late 1990s, he continued to develop projects for many of the major studios and networks, while operating under an overall producing deal with Artisan Entertainment, a then client of Summit Entertainment, since acquired by Lionsgate Entertainment. In 2001, he established Summit’s production banner and in 2007 became a partner. He was in production on MR. AND MRS. SMITH. He was in pre-production on ME AGAIN and THE ALIBI for Spring ’04 starts and an as-yet-untitled teen music-driven film from the writer of SAVE THE LAST DANCE for a summer ’04 start. Mr. Feig serves as a Director of Lean Forward Media, LLC. He is on the board of MLA. He was a founding board member of Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Young Collector’s Group. His recent producing credits include WRONG TURN, a teen thriller for Fox, starring Eliza Dushku and with creature effects by Stan Winston. As well, another recent production, DOT THE I, a romantic thriller from first-time director Matthew Parkhill, starring Gael Garcia Bernal, won the audience award at the Deauville Film Festival and was accepted into the Premiere section at the Sundance Film Festival. Mr. Feig holds a BA in English from Columbia University, 1992.
