Prabhu is an Indian film actor and producer who primarily works in Tamil film industry. He made debut with the film Sangili (1982) and went on to act in a series of movies. Prabhu has played many supporting roles and leading roles in his career. He was awarded the Best Actor award by the Tamil Nadu state for his portrayal in Chinna Thambi (1991). Prabhu’s act in Charlie Chaplin (2002) earned him a Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actor. He is well known for his work in the films Chandramukhi (2005), The Unbeatable (2009) and 3 (2012). He has been part of more than a hundered films in his career and is still counting for more movies. He will next be seen in Puli and Ethiri En 3, both set to release in 2015.
