A Journey to India - Around Dharamsala and McLeod Ganj
McLeod Ganj is known as "Little Lhasa" or "Dhasa" (a short form of Dharamshala used mainly by Tibetans) because of its large population of Tibetan refugees. His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama lives here in exile from Tibet since 1959. I had the opportunity to see and listen to him in person during his 3-days teaching at Main Temple. This is also a great place for hiking in the mountains and take rest from the plains.
