About Common Proficiency Test (CPT)

� Entry level or Level I exams for CA course
� Eligibility for registering for CPT course- successfully passed class X exams
� Students who have successfully passed or have appeared for class XII exams are eligible to appear for CPT
� Four-hour long objective-type test
� 200 marks test comprising questions from 4 subjects- Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude
� Negative marking for incorrect answers
� Qualifying marks- 50%
� CPT is held twice in a year i.e. in June & in December
