The singer and actress is currently showing off her many talents in the upcoming movie release Rudderless, which FYI is movie with tons of music performance, and even though we won’t be seeing Selena actually performing IN the movie, lucky f or all of us, she and the very talented Ben Ben Kweller just re-recorded the song Hold On and they even made a music video! Here’s another quick look: The vibe of the video is very chill, and it pretty much seems like they recorded a jam session in someone’s living room with a crackling fire place. This is party I want to be at. Selena looks comfy and cozy in a sweater and jeans sitting on a couch with a cup of tea in her hands. She and Ben Kweller are even joined by Rudderless director and all-out acting icon William H Macy who shows off what he can do on the keys. As you guys know, Selena has a role in Rudderless, where she really shows off her emotional side as an actress – She is one talented lady – and we’re just counting down the days until we can get more music from her. Selena recently left Hollywood Records and signed with Interscope. She’s still set to release a greatest hits record on Hollywood, so hopefully we’ll be getting a few new music videos too. In the meantime though, mark your calendars because Rudderless will be in theaters, on Digital HD and on Demand on October 17th – so pretty much you have a million ways to watch and a million reasons why, because if it’s anything like the Hold On music video, then it’s obviously a must-watch. Hi my foxes, today you'll be visiting the island of Lanai. Sixth largest of the Hawaiian islands. Lanai is 18 miles long, with a population of approximately 3000. There are no stop lights on the island and only a few main roads are paved, many landmarks are accessible only by dirt roads. If you plan to go exploring and get off the beaten path, rent a 4-wheel drive vehicle. However, if you're coming over from Maui on a day trip and just want to relax on the beach and walk around town (Lanai City), it not necessary to rent a car. After departing the ferry at the Manele Small Boat Harbor, it a short 5 minute walk to Hulopo'e beach, a sunny white sand beach and marine preserve. It an overall beautiful beach to relax on, snorkel, watch dolphins, enjoy a picnic, go for a hike along the coast... There are public restrooms, which were very clean and well maintained, might I add. From the beach, you can walk up to the hotel overlooking the bay, the Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele. It plush, luxurious, and a room here will run you a cool $480 and up a night. At the hotel, you can ask for a shuttle day pass, it $10 per person and allows you to get on/off the shuttle all day. Though keep in mind, this is just general transportation, it only makes a few stops. It not about to take you 4-wheeling or touring all the landmarks you want to see around the island. That something you'll have to go for on your own. ;) The Lanai landscape features contrasts ranging from white sand beaches with coconut palms swaying in the breeze to golden grasslands and rugged red earth to pine tree forests. It a small island but well worth exploring. This was a good day trip for relaxing. Though Michael and I always love an adventure, so I can see our next Lanai trip may involve 4 wheeling and getting a little dirty. ;D We hope you enjoyed this video, thanks for watching! xoxo, Christine
