Justin Bieber hasn’t been through the best of times lately after becoming involved in an altercation with a paparazzi, having his pet monkey confiscated in Germany and urinating into a mop bucket as he left a nightclub before swearing at picture of a former US president.

But it appears the star’s most recent controversial behaviour, which involved him seemingly spitting on a crowd of fans in the street below his hotel room, didn’t actually happen at all as there were apparently no screaming Beliebers there at all.
