We are just days away from the official release of "Bangerz."

But while Miley Cyrus fans will have a chance to purchase this wildly anticipated album on October 8, many of the nation’s finest music critics have already given it a listen. And what do they think?

It’s not terrible! It may not win any Grammys, either, but here’s a rundown of what many industry experts have been saying about the "Wrecking Ball" crooner’s latest effort:

Ian Drew (US Weekly) gives "Bangerz" four out of four stars and gushes over it as "titillating pop explosion."

He compliments the "freaktastic tidal wave" of her Britney Spears duet and adds that the CD "packs kiss-off anthems that point to her union with ex Liam Hemsworth."

Nick Catucci (Entertainment Weekly) gives the album an A- (not too shabby) and also singles out Miley’s "merry rap-off with Britney," along with the "woozy ballad ’My Darlin." But he does warn:

"Miley raps. And if you can’t stand Ke$ha, you probably won’t take to Cyrus’ skills, either."

Mikael Wood (The Los Angeles Times) gives Bangerz three out of four stars and believes that Cyrus is moving away from her "glossy electro-pop sound" to a "grittier, hip-hop-inspired vibe." He praises the track "Do My Thang."

Elysa Gardner (USA Today) is less effusive. She appraises the album as "a collection of competent, mostly generic tunes that juggle self-conscious sass with glimmers of earnestness... After all this time, crying in public may come naturally to Cyrus. But in its predictable mediocrity, Bangerz gives her, and her followers, nothing to feel bad about."

Jim Farber (The Daily News) is even harsher, scoffing at the album and labeling it a "disjointed mess that seeks to provoke instead of delight. He also refers to Cyrus as a "twerking twerp [who] doesn’t pull off a good time."
