Boss Har kisi ko song: Does Sonakshi Sinha manage to replay Sridevi?

Sonakshi Sinha as Sridevi and Akshay Kumar as the dashing Feroz Khan, in the Jaanbaaz song Har kisi ko nahi milta…but the remix version. While the Khiladi manages to pull off the rugged cowboy look, we aren’t sure if Sonakshi can hold her own against the memory of Bollywood’s Chandni. The red and white Bengali style saree certainly makes an impact, but considering the fact that this latest song from Boss is a rehash of the original, comparisons are inevitable. The video for this number shot at the Boss’ ranch reminds you of Akki’s song with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from Khakee – Dil dooba. The makers have, of course, tried hard to recreate the atmosphere of the original track, but fail; except for the costumes, there is nothing about this song that will take you back to the 1986 hit number.

Har kisi ko fails to replay the magic of the original. In the name of remix the composers have clubbed in tunes of other popular songs and it all leaves you confused. Which song were they trying to redo anyway? It is the soothing delivery of this otherwise mediocre track by singer Arijit Singh that makes it even halfway bearable.
