About Common Proficiency Test (CPT)

• Entry level or Level I exams for CA course
• Eligibility for registering for CPT course- successfully passed class X exams
• Students who have successfully passed or have appeared for class XII exams are eligible to appear for CPT
• Four-hour long objective-type test
• 200 marks test comprising questions from 4 subjects- Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude
• Negative marking for incorrect answers
• Qualifying marks- 50%
• CPT is held twice in a year i.e. in June & in December
