Department of Marketing
Established in 1971, the Department of Marketing at the University of Strathclyde has gained an international reputation for the quality of teaching and research. It continues to innovate in the delivery of marketing education through its full time p rogrammes and in the use of internet-based learning materials.
The Department offers a 4 year undergraduate programme leading to a BA honours degree in Marketing or a joint honours degree with other approved subjects.
At postgraduate level, the department offers two full-time courses; an MSc in International Marketing for those who already have a business degree and want to refine their marketing education focusing on international issues, or an MSc in Marketing for those with a degree in a non-business discipline. Beyond the core modules, students get involved in real life business projects known as ’Marketing Works’ and have a choice from approximately 20 elective subjects to tailor their degrees. Programmes build on a graduate�s existing knowledge and skills, focusing them towards the commercial environment. Students from 20 different nationalities are currently represented.
